AHA'S AND ACTION:
Here are 2 thoughts, 2 inspirations, and 1 question for you to reflect on this week…
2 THOUGHTS FROM ME
I notice how easily I slip into effort mode when something matters to me. I look back on the times I have been really worked up, and someone has said ‘just take a chill pill’ – not what you want to hear when things aren’t going your way. But now I get it. When I try harder or push for clarity, I can feel it and so can the other person. The very thing I want—ease, connection, peace, resolution—all start to feel further away. I need to take that ‘pill’ and get out of my own exhaustive, circular thinking and wait for something new to come up – it always does.
What I keep rediscovering is that ease doesn’t come from figuring things out. It shows up when my mind settles on its own. When I stop trying to make something happen, I often see that what I was missing wasn’t effort at all—it was space. What I’m seeing more in my life, is that if I don’t know the answer or if something inside of me feels ‘off’, it is an opportunity for me to explore, to take a look at myself, to see what I am missing, or at least to know that there is something I haven’t seen yet. I go on little adventures with myself and I find it fascinating.
2 INSPIRATIONS FROM OTHER PEOPLE
"You don’t have to let your thoughts control you. You can just let them come and go." by Michael Neill.
“Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished.” by Lao Tzu.
1 QUESTION FOR YOU
What’s one thing you’ve been carrying this week that doesn’t need as much effort as you’ve been giving it?
