AHA'S AND ACTION:
Here are 2 thoughts, 2 inspirations, and 1 question for you to reflect on this week…
2 THOUGHTS FROM ME
1. Stress used to feel so real—like it was coming at me. From deadlines, family demands, the mess in the kitchen. But what I’ve come to see is this: stress isn’t coming from the outside. It’s coming from thought. From inside my own mind. It’s not the event—it’s what I make of it.
2. There’s this analogy I love: imagine walking across a 3x5 board on the ground. Easy, right? Now imagine it suspended 500 feet in the air. Suddenly terrifying. But the board hasn’t changed—your thinking has. That’s stress. It’s not the board, it’s the meaning you assign. That realization changes everything. It’s not about controlling life—it’s about seeing thought for what it is.
2 INSPIRATIONS FROM OTHER PEOPLE
1. “Stress is caused by being ‘here’ but wanting to be ‘there.’” by Eckhart Tolle.
2. Sydney Banks wrote, “If the only thing people learned was not to be afraid of their experience, that alone would change the world.” Stress is an experience—and we don’t have to be afraid of it.
1 QUESTION FOR YOU
1. What’s your “board in the sky” right now—and how might it feel different if you saw it for what it really is?
