AHA'S AND ACTION:
Here are 2 thoughts, 2 inspirations, and 1 question for you to reflect on this week…
2 THOUGHTS FROM ME
1. One of the things I love most in my relationship with Dave is that we laugh—a lot. Not because everything is perfect, but because laughter is part of the glue that holds us together. It lightens tension, bridges distance, and reminds us we’re on the same team. We’ve got each other backs, we support each other’s dreams, and we always find a way to meet in the middle.
2. I used to think a strong relationship was all about communication and compromise—and sure, those things matter. But lately, I’ve realized that when we laugh together, everything feels lighter. Laughter brings us back to the friendship at the heart of our connection—daytime teammates, nighttime lovers, and everything in between.
2 INSPIRATIONS FROM OTHER PEOPLE
1. “Laughter is the shortest distance between two people.” by Victor Borge.
2. A study published in the journal Personal Relationships found that couples who laugh together more frequently experience greater closeness, emotional connection, and relationship satisfaction—especially during conflict recovery. Laughter, it turns out, isn’t just fun—it’s functional.
1 QUESTION FOR YOU
1. When was the last time you and your partner truly laughed together—and are you willing to do something different to make it happen?
