AHA'S AND ACTION:
Here are 2 thoughts, 2 inspirations, and 1 question for you to reflect on this week…
2 THOUGHTS FROM ME
I’ve noticed how much time I can spend in “how to” mode. How to fix this. How to figure that out. How to become a public speaker. How to increase my cottage rentals. It feels productive to think about the ‘how to’s’. It feels like I am doing something. But most of the time, it keeps me circling the problem instead of moving. For years, I talked about how to start lifting weights and going to the gym regularly would be good for me – especially for a woman in mid-life. LOL. I see how silly this is now. Talking to ChatGPT and googling all the benefits of reducing fat and gaining muscle didn’t get me very far. I had to tap into my internal desire to want this for myself – to hire a coach, schedule my workouts and get my butt to the gym.
What changes things for me is when “how to” quietly turns into “want to.” When I stop trying to solve my life and start listening for what actually feels true and alive in me. From there, action doesn’t feel forced. It feels obvious. The question shifts from How do I make this happen? to What am I willing to do about it right now?
2 INSPIRATIONS FROM OTHER PEOPLE
“The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.” by Walt Disney.
“If you want something you’ve never had, you must be willing to do something you’ve never done.” by Thomas Jefferson.
1 QUESTION FOR YOU
What’s one small step you already know you want to take towards achieving your goal? And when are you gonna take it?
