The brain, the mind, and what does spirit have to do with it?

AHA'S AND ACTION:

Here are 2 thoughts, 2 inspirations, and 1 question for you to reflect on this week…

2 THOUGHTS FROM ME

The brain is biological and the mind is spiritual. Our brains act like a computer— what you put in is what you get out. That makes sense to me. When ‘I rack my brain’ to figure something out I know I am headed in the wrong direction and probably going to stay there for longer than necessary. I’ve seen for myself that when I am headed down this path of ‘trying to figure it out’ I’m best off to take a step back, to slow down, to sleep on it, have a conversation with a mentor…or wait for something new and fresh to come to mind.

‘Come to mind’ From where? To which mind. Well, if it comes to my mind – my personal mind – then that is an insight where I see something new and fresh – something that makes sense. We all do this, all the time, and what is fascinating for me is how much more there is to see. There is no end, or limitation or boundaries to the human mind. This work is fascinating, knowing the infinite potential we all have.

2 INSPIRATIONS FROM OTHER PEOPLE

“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.” by Marcel Proust.

“The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing.” by Socrates.

1 QUESTION FOR YOU

Today when you feel that urgency to figure it out right now - are you willing to try something new?

Can you take a step back and slow down and be ok with not knowing for right now?
