AHA'S AND ACTION:
Here are 2 thoughts, 2 inspirations, and 1 question for you to reflect on this week…
2 THOUGHTS FROM ME
I’ve noticed how easily my happiness can look like something coming from outside of me. If I win the lottery all of my problems will disappear… If I could spend 6 months of the year hanging out on the beach oh that would really make me happy…Turns out the happiness I was searching for has always been with me – when I feel content and satisfied and grateful for what is, and live my life from this place, I can feel it – I am it. It’s not out there it’s in here.
One little secret I keep coming back to is that happiness doesn’t come and go — my attention does. Beneath the noise of my thinking, there’s always a steady, okay feeling already here. Sometimes it’s quiet. Sometimes it’s barely noticeable. But when my mind slows down, even for a moment, I can feel it again. Nothing changed out there. I just came back to myself, and it feels good.
2 INSPIRATIONS FROM OTHER PEOPLE
“We don’t need to add anything to our lives to be happy. We need to subtract the noise.” by Mark Twain.
“The quieter you become, the more you can hear.” by Rumi.
1 QUESTION FOR YOU
Where this week might you pause long enough to notice the steady, okay feeling that’s already there — even before anything changes?
