AHA'S AND ACTION:

Here are 2 thoughts, 2 inspirations, and 1 question for you to reflect on this week…

2 THOUGHTS FROM ME

I used to spend a lot more time in other people’s business than I do now. I’ve realized I don’t have any control there — and most of the time, it doesn’t really matter. What does matter is who I am being. What I say. What I do. What I choose to create in my own life.

At first, that can sound selfish — but stay with me. When I spend my energy creating, learning, and growing into the best version of myself, that’s what I bring into the world. I can inspire you and you can inspire me. Sometimes I imagine what it would feel like if we all did this work. How much more love and kindness we’d bump into each day.

I guess my grandma was right when she said, “People should just mind their own business.” When I stay in my own lane — my words, my actions, my attitude — I see there’s already more than enough to do. I don’t have to fix the world or manage other people’s lives. I can’t control any of that anyway.

And the more I come home to myself, the clearer things become. I slow down to the present moment and am able see something new and fresh. I can be creative and imaginative and helpful and inspire and be inspired.

2 INSPIRATIONS FROM OTHER PEOPLE

“I am not the cause of other people’s behavior. I am the cause of my own.” by Byron Katie.

“You cannot change the people around you, but you can change the people around you.” by Anne Frank.

1 QUESTION FOR YOU

Where in your life are you in other people’s business — and what would it feel like to let it go?
