AHA'S AND ACTION:
Here are 2 thoughts, 2 inspirations, and 1 question for you to reflect on this week…
2 THOUGHTS FROM ME
Lately, I’ve been questioning my thoughts the way a little kid questions everything. Is that really true? How do I know? What if it’s not? And instead of feeling unsettling, it’s been kind of fun. The more I look at my thinking, the less serious it feels. Beliefs that once felt solid start to look more like stories I’ve been telling myself. I choose to be the inventive, creative, high-spirited person that I am and continue to question the collection of opinions, memories, fears and judgements that I have. This is the choice we all have.
What I’ve noticed is that when I hold my thoughts more lightly, life feels lighter too. I don’t have to defend my opinions as much. I don’t have to prove I’m right. There’s more room for curiosity, for play, for seeing something new. It’s like stepping out of a tight costume and realizing I can move again.
2 INSPIRATIONS FROM OTHER PEOPLE
“The unexamined life is not worth living.” by Socrates.
“We are such stuff as dreams are made on.” by William Shakespeare.
1 QUESTION FOR YOU
What’s one thought or belief you could question today — just to see what feels different when you don’t take it so seriously?
