AHA'S AND ACTION:
Here are 2 thoughts, 2 inspirations, and 1 question for you to reflect on this week…
2 THOUGHTS FROM ME
I love to notice when I slip into reacting without realizing it. Someone says something. Plans change. A tone feels off. And suddenly I’m responding on autopilot — defending, explaining, or shutting down. It feels justified in the moment, after all I’m just responding to what’s happening. When I notice that I was reactive and not so creative I begin an experiment with myself to see what I am missing, to see how I can do it better next time, to explore a new way of Being – it is fascinating.
What’s been helpful for me is remembering that I am the creator of my life (the director, the producer, the set designer, the actor, the videographer…..). When I slow down enough to remember that I create my own experience, I feel excited and hopeful – I can create something new. From here, I have endless choices, I see new possibilities, the world is my oyster.
2 INSPIRATIONS FROM OTHER PEOPLE
“Life isn’t happening to you. It’s responding to you.” by Steve Chandler.
“You always have a choice, even if it doesn’t feel like it.” by Viktor Frankl.
1 QUESTION FOR YOU
Where in your life might you be reacting out of habit — and what could shift if you remembered you’re the one directing the scene?
