AHA'S AND ACTION:
Here are 2 thoughts, 2 inspirations, and 1 question for you to reflect on this week…
2 THOUGHTS FROM ME
For a long time, I believed that if something felt uncomfortable, I needed to do something about it—say the thing, fix the problem, decide. But I’ve noticed that when action comes from urgency or pressure, it often creates more noise and less clarity. When I focus on the endless tasks that need to get done every day it can be overwhelming and paralyzing. I’ve learned to see all the stuff that I want to do and focus on doing one thing at a time. That’s all I can do. This has taken me a while to figure out but it really works for me, and I am more efficient and more productive as a result.
What I trust more now is timing. When my mind settles, the right action tends to feel obvious —or it doesn’t show up at all and I need to wait. Either way, there’s less second-guessing. Stillness doesn’t mean avoidance. It means waiting for action to come from a clearer place. It’s easy for me to get really scattered and pushed and pulled in all directions when I don’t remember this. So, I just keep on practicing.
2 INSPIRATIONS FROM OTHER PEOPLE
“Don’t just do something. Stand there.” by Rochelle Myer.
“It is not the answer that enlightens, but the question.” by Eugène Ionesco.
1 QUESTION FOR YOU
Is there something you’ve been feeling pressure to act on that might look different if you gave it a little more space?
