AHA'S AND ACTION:
Here are 2 thoughts, 2 inspirations, and 1 question for you to reflect on this week…
2 THOUGHTS FROM ME
1. I've come to realize that true happiness and joy come from within. They are the foundation for meaningful relationships with my husband, family, and friends, and they guide me in living aligned with my values and purpose while deepening my gratitude for life.
Don’t get me wrong—I love savoring life’s pleasures, like delicious food and exciting activities. But I recognize that while pleasures are fleeting, true happiness brings lasting contentment and fulfillment.
So, I choose to enjoy both, embracing the pleasures while staying grounded in the deeper joy that comes from within.
2. I have seven adult sons, and whenever I say, "Money can't buy happiness," you can imagine the responses: "Sure, Mom, try being broke—that'll make you happy!" or, "I’d rather be miserable on a 100-foot yacht than super happy living in a tent!"
So, I ask them, "If you already have enough money, will having even more make you happier?" And, as expected, they all yell, "YES!"
For me, money is a tool. It allows me to do more of what I love, help the people I care about, and enjoy experiences that might not be possible otherwise. It opens doors to opportunities and adds to the joys of life.
But here’s what I know for sure: if you’re not happy to begin with, no amount of money will change that.
2 INSPIRATIONS FROM OTHER PEOPLE
1. “Health is the greatest gift, contentment is the greatest wealth, and faithfulness is the best relationship.” by Buddha.
2. “Pleasure is always derived from something outside you, whereas joy arises from within.” by Eckhart Tolle.
1 QUESTION FOR YOU
1. How happy are you right now? What can you do every day this week to increase your own happiness?
