AHA'S AND ACTION:
Here are 2 thoughts, 2 inspirations, and 1 question for you to reflect on this week…
2 THOUGHTS FROM ME
It’s uncomfortable to realize that my experience isn’t coming from what’s happening to me – I am creating it. That “ouch” moment usually shows up when I’m frustrated with someone, stuck in a problem, or think something or someone else needs to change. When I blame someone for the problems I am having and I convince myself that this is not my fault, that is when I stay stuck. When I see that I am the problem is when I can start moving again. I ask myself this question often “Given my circumstance what do I want to create?”
The moment I stop blaming or trying to fix the other person, or the past, or the circumstances, is where the solution reveals itself. I open myself up to seeing something new and fresh. Trusting this has been a game-changer for me. Nothing outside has to change — I do. For me, this is where it gets exciting.
2 INSPIRATIONS FROM OTHER PEOPLE
“Between stimulus and response, there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response.” by Viktor Frankl.
“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.” by Carl Rogers.
1 QUESTION FOR YOU
Where in your life right now are you blaming someone or something outside of you for your problem? What can you do to create the solution?
